I started working with Tina in preparation for my first sprint triathlon. Since I had never run, bicycled or swam before, going from couch potato to a triathlete was more than a small feat. To further complicate the matter I had to work around multiple injuries including a spinal fusion from L3 to S1. Tina was able to not only structure my workouts around my disabilities and time frame but was also able to help me in the psychological aspect of the sport. Tina’s immense knowledge around training and nutrition coupled with her experience in endurance sports not only helped me achieve becoming an IRONMAN but has also strengthened me as a person. Tina’s attitude on training and life has taught me many things which I have been able to apply to my personal life. I started working with Tina a few years ago just working with her primarily on strength. And now I’ve completed 3 full IRONMANs. Tina’s approach to coaching is unique, focused on individual needs and areas where improvement is needed. She not only understands the science and physiology of movement, but she completely gets how to help an athlete overcome weaknesses and make those become non issues. She also listens intently to her athletes and makes adjustment based on that feedback to routines and schedules. I’ve not felt better training for an endurance event in my athletic career! Living out of state has not been an issue for Tina as well. I can’t say enough about the training that Tina provided me for my marathon. This was my 4th marathon and I had never been more prepared than this one. She took into account my age, injury history and work schedule and formed a plan that helped me prepare better than I had ever done on my own.
